My images share the way I see the world, it’s soft tenderness and extravagant beauty, it’s agonizing loss and exquisite aging. There is a connection I feel and a sense of the ‘sacred’ that often calls to me.
I don’t exactly ‘see’ something and then create an image… it is more that something, an ‘item of beauty’ calls to me. I respond - hopefully by co-creating an image that speaks to the emotional, soulful quality of the caller. Often the calling is from one of the smaller items of beauty that can be overlooked in our busy lives.
It is my sincere wish that you find art that touches your heart and makes you pause. Art that creates a sense of awe and connection …
I work with my hands touching each piece with intention and love. I co-create my art with inks, paints, plants, spices or herbs and very often a combination of all. It brings me joy and a sense of connection to have a part of me in every piece of my art that goes out into your world.
